Parades and other Events

SYVR is an active part of the Valley and supports community activities in Solvang, Santa Ynez, Buellton, Los Olivos, and Ballard. One of our most popular activities is our participation in local Parades. SYVR regularly appears in these old-fashioned, small town parades, keeping the tradition alive.

Solvang Danish Days, 4th of July, Old Santa Ynez Days, A Day in the Country, Souper 101 Days, Los Alamos Old Days, Solvang Christmas Parade, and the granddaddy of them all, Santa Barbara's Fiesta Parade.

In 1999, the SYVR accompanied the Wells Fargo stage coach in a recreation of the historic mail run connecting the 5 cities in the Valley. SYVR has also assisted in the planning or execution of events for the March of Dimes and other important fund raisers.

SYVR has received numerous Awards and Ribbons as a result of our participation in these classic events.
